This is a time of transition for First Congregational Church.  Our senior minister since 2001, the Rev. Rick Dacey, has accepted a call to lead a church in West Epping, Australia, and we said farewell to him and his family in January 2007. 

The Rev. David Buchan has accepted our call to serve as Interim Senior Minister here.  David has more than 35 years of experience, as well as specific training and experience in interim ministry.  He has been senior minister in two churches similar in size to ours, one in Naugatuck, Conn., and the other in Hudson, Ohio.  He has also served in smaller churches in Maine.

After his retirement from the Ohio church, David and his wife, Patty, moved back to Connecticut in July 2004, and accepted the call to be interim senior minister at the Litchfield Congregational Church.  When a permanent minister was called there, he became interim senior minister at the Congregational Church of Brookfield.
